Product Description
When paired up with a VFD or special control system, BLDC motor allows for accurate, step-less speed control all over an extensive speed range. Not only the valves for mechanical flow control are not used, but also the flow amount and head can be controlled accurately (in real time) by speed control. Meanwhile the Speed stability is secured even when the voltage is changed by PWM control and then the output performance can not be changed. In addition, their soft-stare capability reduces the startup current to seven times current ratings, providing less strain on power and mechanical system and providing life of pumps.
From a structural standpoint, BLDC motors can be designed to easily reach IP54, IP65 or higher protection doors, allowing applicability in aggressive environments involving humidity, dust or washdowns (garden irrigation, water treatment). The lower size and weight of their compact design offers a higher power density which results in a lighter pump system. In addition, due to the absence of mechanical commutation, friction and sparks are eliminated. The motors run smoothly and quietly when used with precision electromagnetic controls. Their low levels of mechanical noise and vibration render them ideally suited to applications demanding extremely low noise levels.
